This is a list guarenteed to catch your interest! Which books have been banned or listed as "inappropriate"? Where? And when? You'd be surprised to find out the answer to these questions and to learn how many "classics" are considered inappropriate by some. We think some of these banned books are important, and we encourage readers to engage with the question of freedom of speech by reading and discussing these books--and thinking about what harm they could do. When we understand the fear that books seems to provoke, we can begin to also understand the power of literature and the importance of reading.
